I found a 99 Red Prowler in California and need help. Does anyone live near LAX or Marina Del Rey. The car sound good but it did come from Hawaii 2 years or so ago. They assure me it has no rust and is in showroom condition. This will be easier to pick up then shipping from Ohio. I was sad not to purchase Pats Kat....but the price difference was enough to buy a new water toy as well. Thanks so much....

Not too likely to find rust on a Prowler. Almost completely aluminum and a little resin (fiberglass).

Thanks guys. I never knew they are aluminum. Is there anything else I should beware of?

Cheryl, the number you gave me for the seller is incorrect.

Call me at my office at (310) 792-4616 with the seller's correct telephone number.

Cheryl, I will be checking out your car Friday after work, and I will call you Friday evening or Saturday AM to let you know how it looks.

I'll bring a camera to take pics of anything I think you'd want to see.

Here's the 'dodge' prowler that was from the rental:

It would be a decent deal if its around 23K. Rentals have too much of a 'unknown' history.

??? DODGE????
How did you find the rental company????
I couldn't get them below $27,500. Don't get me wrong they are very nice people....I agree....you don't know who has driven the car and how hard.....I might still buy it for $23,000

Cheryl, I'll hold off on calling the seller back unless I hear from you otherwise.

I agree - there are enough cars out there that you shouldn't have to buy a rental car. Be patient, and if you find anything else down this way, you can always find someone to go check it out for you.

Remember, lots of est coast/midwest cars are going to be "bedded down" for the winter in a few months, and there are usually some deals to be had from dealers stuck with them in stock through the winter, etc.

Good luck!!

This place is on I-10 heading east out of the San Bernardino Ca. towards Palm Springs. They have two Prowlers listed for sale. One is Red and the other is Silver.

i'm not far from Cupertino...not a Prowler Tec (obviously), but can certainly tell a good car from a not-so-good car. let me know.
