We got hammered last night...must have been nearly 3 inches of rain in about a 1 hour period....that's more than we normally get all year!! Water all over the place this morning and trees down up and down our street. The desert just can't handle that much water at one time and there must have been flash floods all over town. Good thing the Black Tie was tucked safely in the garage!! Larry, what's the report from Mesa area?

Jim - I looked out the front window at 9:10pm last night to see the wind blowing hard and lightning strikes everywhere, but no rain. Ten minutes later, Lethia comes home and through the front door looking like a drenched cat. I look outside again and see 50 mph winds, same lightning,,,,and the rain coming down hard horizontally. Think we got about 2" of rain in a hour,,,but no damage to trees that I can see this morning. While at the Dells event,,,,there must have been a helluva storm here, as I lost a huge limb off my 32 year old tree.

My son lives in Gilbert. He is here in Mass now visiting for 10 days. I guess he is lucky he is not at home because he rides a motorcycle to work.

Charlie - tell him Gilbert received 1.75" of rain. The most rainfall fell in downtown Phx - over 3".

Snowbirds will be here in October,,,,,,tell him to invest in a car. Not good to ride m/c with the snowbirds/blue hairs on the road at the same time!

Ed W. - if your coming down during the winter months,,,,make it a short trip, spend lots of $$$, and return home asap. We don't need more retired Michigan drivers with their turn signal left on continuously, lol. Try Florida this year,,,,,,they could use extra help with hurricane cleanup, lol.

Pat - no sister,,,sorry. Have a cousin, Tami Fischer, in Texas. She drinks WhoopAss, and you don't want to mess with her
