As a Vietnam era vet, and the father of a career Army son,

I can only say thank you.

However, if you had sent that to me before Friday, you, Dave, & I would still be on the hill with a few cold ones.

God bless you Ranier for that one !

Kraut,
I've been trying to access this link (now closed) to either record/save or just to view. It is now longer available. Can you put me in contact with ANYONE
who has a copy of it, or where I can view it?
Send me a PM or email if need be.

Ed

Sorry Ed,

I didn't save a copy of it. I just passed it along. It was a nice one though.

If anyone out there has some inside access to Ford (Internet only) advertising, I'd sure appreciate a "heads-up". This (10 minute) video is priceless !

It featured a young American GI returning home from combat in Iraq and dealing with his Viet Nam era father who now shares some of the combat "baggage" with his son. In the end, the father presents the son with the keys to a new Mustang. This video cannot be allowed to just fade away.

Please advise..........

That I found out. But, this thing is just too good to fade away. No 20 "something" bean counter could have possibly put this thing together. You had to be 'there' to put that much feeling in it!
SOMEONE must have a copy of it.............

I tried Googling for this and found another site that had it, but they too showed it as deleted. Found a blog site that was talking about the commercial and it was dated Nov 2004. Will try more tomorrow.

Bummer! 'Clip no longer availiable' came up when I tried to view. I guess I took to long to review the site!

Ed I'm not having any luck. Been to more blog sites than I knew existed. Lots of talk about the commercial but nothing about why it was pulled. As mentioned earlier I think we need a Ford insider. Dang it I hate an empty search. Jeff

Jeff,
It appears that you're more adept than me on the search issue. I have run out of options. ' Don't know anyone in Ford that could provide a good link, much less a copy.

Sorry you guys, I can't let this thing go away. It is just to damn good to fade away. Ask those who have seen it.

Any ideas out there............?

Ed I tried again and found more links in Mustang web sites but none work. What I do know is that it was a 5 minute video that appeared on Nov 21, 2004, as the only commercial in the tv movie "American Dreams". Sorry wish I had better news. Jeff

I found my original post on this commercial ad:
http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/006445.html

Even scrolling down to Dan Pena's links, and trying them,,,shows that this video doesn't exist anymore
