I REALLY didn't mean to get anybody all worked up again. I undersatnd the frustration when things are not working correctly. I got stranded on I-94 last year when my mirror display said 47 miles and the guage read just under 1/4 tank. $67 for fuel and delivery.

It just struck me as funny when I read about the faulty guages on the Space Shuttle.

Just remember who builds the shuttle parts. The low bidder.

How many former genius executives making decisions like "Chrome the whole wheel. I don't care what the supplier says. What does he know" or "Don't worry about the window actuator. It will be fine as designed." are now working for NASA. Think about it.
