Last year I had to sell my Prowler due to some family circumstances. No regrets, had to do what was necessary.
Loved the car. Since then I always check in on POA at least
once or twice a week. I can honestly say this is one of the best and friendliest car sites around. Seems like everyone is always ready to help out. That being said, I'm throwing this question out to you guys.
I'm looking for a 67-69 Camaro, 4 speed car. Does not have to be totally original. Also does not have to be perfect, just solid frame and body.
I enjoy working on cars almost as much as driving them. I would like to spend no more than $20,000. I know some of you Prowler guys are into all different kinds of classic cars as well as Prowlers as I have seen different cars being sold on here. I would appreciate any leads anyone could throw my way. Thanks.

P.S. Enjoy the Dells. You guys will have a great time.

There was a cover story in the Nov or Dec issue of Hot Rod (I think) about a reproduction all steel '69 Camaro convertible. You might want to check that out. They were talking in the $12.5 to 14K range for a bare body. But at least it's all new, all steel, no rust!

I think this is the company that makes the all steel new bodies. You can't buy direct from them but the site has some good info.

I believe they also have plans to do a Barracuda and a Mustang.

Check out our local guy. Ken sold him his 68 Charger a couple of years ago. Nice guy. He has a Camaro, but it's an automatic. http://www.patsautosales.com/newinventory.htm

Thanks to all for the suggestions. TFischer thanks for the info on the dealer in Texas. That's a help to know someone from another area that has seen positive things from your local area dealers. I'm trying to stay fairly local as my job demands and parental issues are pretty hectic right now. It's hard to trust out of state dealers when you know nothing about them. Input like you gave me is always appreciated. Anybody with suggestions like you gave me would be great, as I have no problem with shipping a car. The one from Daves Classic car pages is a little to rough for me. I love the mechanical end, but body work and welding is another story. Again, thanks everybody for all
your help. Anybody with any suggestions for reputable car dealers are greatly appreciated. I'll say it again, this is the most helpful carsite on the internet.

One of my bosses has a 1968 Camaro RS convertible for sale. It is a numbers matching California convertible car with AC, automatic instead of 4-speed, 54,143 original miles, Butternut Yellow w/ black interior, rally sport wheels w/chrome beauty rings, & hide-away headlights. This is a very clean car and was professionally appraised by Polk & Associates, LLC here in California @ $41,350. If you or anyone else in interested, I will be happy to forward you some pictures.

A similar 68 Camaro RS Coupe sold at the Barrett Jackson Auction this part year in Palm Beach for $43,200.

Please feel free to contact me at the info in my signature for more info. Have a great day!
