Just saw speed channel do a comparison with the new GTO up against the new Mustang, BMW, Lexus.

GTO was top car in 1/4 mile and lap times,,,dropped to third in the slalom test.

I was surprised....and it was a 2 door.

Thunder I missed that,do you know which Lexus model ran.I have a SC430 (300hp)and I think it is quick so the GTO must be strong.

Gene,

I don't know which Lexus this was, they do tend to do a few reruns of each show...keep an eye out the next few days.

The numbers for the GTO was around 400hp.....I know, I couldn't believe it either.

Both test drivers preferred the GTO to the competition.
Car didn't look that bad either....they have made some changes it appears.

I have a call to a friend who sells Dodge, and can obtain information fo you. Are you aware that Chrysler is going to announce a similar program to the GM program(the Employee discount)which will commence on or about July 5, 2005. When I obtain this info I will post it

"Employee discount" programs from GM have always been kind of a joke! You can negotiate as good a deal as you will get with the "employee discount". I wouldn't count on GM doing anything to REALLY help their customers. Experience I have had with them, they would rather play silly games and make you think you are getting something that you really are not getting.

CT Prowler; I spoke with my friend Bob Coates at Naples Dodge in Naples, Florida, 239-594-2100, and he stated the SRT8 Charger with the 425HP Hemi will not be available until December, 2005, and there will be limited allocations to dealers. He can take orders now to assure delivery by the time they arrive at dealer showrooms. He stated a fully loaded SRT8 Charger will sell for approx.
$38,000.00. The SRT10 a Ram pickup with the Viper V10 engine is due at dealer showrooms about the same time and will sell for approx. $53,000.00 fully loaded.

Larry, there are lots of Ram SRT10's sitting on dealer lots now. In fact, I believe Naples Dodge had one last time I drove by in mine.
