#6, Oh Yeah??? Well

Artist: Joe Cocker Lyrics
Song: Summer In The City Lyrics

Hot town summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirt and gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity
Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city
All around people looking half dead
Walking on the sidewalk hotter than a match head

But at night it's a different world
Go out and find a girl
Come on, come on and dance all night
Despite the heat it will be alright
And babe, don't you know it's a pity
The days can't be like the night
In the summer in the city
In the summer in the city

Cool town, evening in the city
Dressed so fine and looking so pritty
Cool cat lookin for a kitty
Gonna look in every corner of the city
Till I'm weezin like a bus stop
Running up the stairs gonna meet ya on the roof top

Ray, you got #6 .....I was looking for the song, not the artist....Joe Cocker wasn't the original artist of the song when it was a hit...

ya got one left.....

...I don't remember Joe singin' Summer in the City either, but I wouldn't argue that, he could have covered it sometime thru the years.......

Ray, ya had to be building model cars in the early sixties to get #5....his picture was on the box and he was the "Kat from AMT"....he desinged custom body parts for the model car company....

...give you all a little more time on this one.....

....non related trivia....his name was also the name of a character on a very popular TV series in the late fifties.....the characters sister was called Kitten by her father....she(Kitten) later became a real life hooker...
