I just purchased a Pug puppy for my son. The puppy is 4 weeks old and my son should be getting the dog in about 4 weeks.

This is our family's first dog, and I am sure this will be a new experience for my family .

We have read a great deal about this breed, and purchased the dog thru a reputable breeder.

What can I expect from a new Pug puppy?

Thanks.

Howard

A lot of trouble...but worth every minute of it! Just like a Prowler you will smile every time you look at him, except of course when he/she has that mistake on the carpet.
Love those Pugs, take some photo's of him/her in the Prowler!
Also watch the movie "Men In Black" I crackup over the Pug in it!
A Neat Dog!

Bringing home a new puppy is more work than bringing home a newborn. The crying at night (the puppy this is) the accidents, the chewed shoes, and furniture etc. But you will really have a pal, and it will be worth all the effort.

Howard - if the puppy cries at night,,,,,put an old mechanical, wind up clock in it's bed,,,,,or a battery clock that makes a considerable ticking noise. Always worked for me.

....I tried a wind up clock to help myself sleep, but I had to get up every two hours to rewind it.....didn't work out too well.....then one night Cookie rolled over and crushed my clock.... then I tried a sundial, but Cookie slept between me and the window so the sundial was always in the shade.....it didn't tick loud enough either
