I think any reasonable person would admit he's a pedophile. The trial system really isn't about innocent or guilt but, who puts on a better show. And sadly, money usually puts on a better show. As an unfortunate aside to this, this will probably embolden him into thinking he is free to continue to sleep with small boys. One wonders how many other kids will get hurt till they get the verdict right?? I think his career is like OJ's....GONE.

He will be more popular than ever....he will go on tour and make zillions! I never did think he was guilty. He is a victim of a money hungry thief. I just watched a press conference with Sneddon...what an arrogant SOB he is. He got his vendetta shoved where the sun doesn't shine.

LOL! Which is why he paid a young boy $20 million in hush money a couple of years back.
Yup, 46 y.o. man/boy/girlish looking creature who likes sleeping with small boys must surely be innocent..... I could be wrong but, I don't think any record label would want to touch him (sorry for the pun)

Ford, GM, and yes even Chrysler pay "hush money" all the time to people who sue them. It is cheaper than dragging it through the courts and causing adverse publicity.

Fat Pat ... thinking like yours is what is running this country's moral values off the tracks. Michael admitted on International TV that it is "ok for him to have young boys sleep in the same bed with him" ... if you had small children regardless of the sex in your bed that weren't yours and neighbors found out ... where would your life be heading ya think ... jail perhaps!?!And then there is the broad from Georgia who obviously has "issues", skips on her hubby to be, lies to everyone and could have had innocent people in NM arrested and lives ruined, yet comes clean with little more than a "slap" BUT NOW may get a Book deal, movie deal ... yadda yadda ... We reward the liars, cheats, thieves and overpaid drug-using athletes yet wonder why our children struggle to stay on a path of 'good' and decency?? USA ... moral decline sure seems to be on the rise and the Michael Jackson jury just gave the cause a BIG win

Rays right... its just that simple.... and its not just in the USA... we got it here as well.the innocent fear going to court because they may be found guilty for something they are accused of doing.... and the guilty use it as a tool to get off on a technicality or bargain a lighter sentence for something they did...so they can get out and do it again... Jacko likes sleeping with little boys ....50 years ago he wouldn't make it to court....and he certainly wouldn't be on National TV to plead his case..... he's a Sicko

i figured he'd get off(no pun intended).if a person can go to court in his pajamas or dance on top of a car but days later miss a day of court because of back pain then the justice system never stood a chance.his day will come but we'll never get to see it.

If Michael Jackson would have been convicted , the D.A. should have indited the parents of the boy and put them under the jail. Any evidence, short of video tape, of Michael molesting a child has to be scrutinized. Why would anyone let their child near him unsupervised? America shouldn't question Michael, we all know there is something off balance. The parents of these children need to be dealt with now.

Granted, you and I would never let our kids sleep over and these parents made some bad mistakes but, the issue should always be the pedophile and not those that failed to recognize it (either by stupidity or non-caring attitude)

I could be mistaken, but I'm sure MJ NEVER said he slept with boys....what he said was "I let them sleep in my bed, while I sleep on the floor". I just watched the press conference with the jury and I believe they were fair. I kind of take exception to the remark that "thinking like mine is what is ruining this country"....thinking like mine is how the judicial system works!! Its about reasonable doubt...WAKE UP PEOPLE!

Fat Pat is the ONLY person on this thread with a clue! The rest of you are just running with the pack, with mob-rules kinda attitudes. Congrats to Fat Pat for not being too timid to speak his mind when the majority would bash him for his thoughts...as they will me now, as well! It's a pleasure to know you--Fat Pat!! I (the only one on this thread with the cajones to say it--so far) appreciate the hell outta you! It takes real courage to stand alone! Ask me how I know, right! I was the only person on Alley Cat's thread who even mentioned 'reasonable doubt,' and that was four days ago--long before today's jury decision!! the issue should be about the children.... Everyone is so concerned about Jerko and the parents that they missed what the issue is really about... the kids are being affected buy the actions of adults......there lies the true crime.its doesn't take Ball$ to figure that out.... picture your kid drinking booze , lookin at dirty pictures, and sleeping with a dead like lookin gayish dude... Ray has made the best sense of anyone ...

Halicat ... thank you for you comments ... it really IS about the children and the media turned it into a circus, just like they do everything, including Scott Peterson ... he just wasn't rich or famous enough to get away with it in California Justice land. To Tytanium I simply say ... lets see how thing go in Aruba for one of your native Alabama girls ... I feel for that mother and pray the girl is fine, but to use your logic from Michael Jackson to Aruba, the rich kid related to the justice system is "being railroaded" and "framed" ... right?! Wacko Jacko aside ... he spoke proudly of his "affection" for young boys, for enjoying "sharing his bed" with them (them IN the bed -- of course after his PR people said "Michael, you slept on the floor riiiiiiight!") Well, enough from me ... beating a dead horse now.

This whole sad episode will be beat to the ground for years. Last night on WXYZ (Detroit Channel 7 TV) News, there was an interview with Martha Reeves of MoTown fame. She wished the Jackson family well and clearly stated: "I hope Michael learns to take these children home". Enough said ! I think there are many lessons (for many people) to be learned from this mess.......... The Good Lord expects us to be witnesses, not Judges & Lawyers............. America's entire system of justice is based on the belief that it is better to let 10 guilty people go free than to convict one innocent person. Many of us have forgotten just what that means, and how important that concept is.That is why we require such a high burden of proof - beyond any reasonable doubt. The mother and child in this case were the walking, breathing embodiment of reasonable doubt. Would any of you want to be convicted on their testimony???? Whatever you think about Mr. Jackson and/or his attorneys, if you don't like the result, you have a fundamental misunderstanding of how our courts work in this country, and I think that is sad.... I think it is wrong for anyone to publicly criticize a jury verdict. They are the ones our system entrusts to make these decisions - otherwise, we could just take a TV poll and save a lot of trial costs. It breeds disrespect for the court system, which is the foundation of our nation, and what sets us apart from every other country in the world. It fosters a mentality of "where there's smoke, there's fire", which flies in the face of what our founding fathers were trying to accomplish by establishing an independent judiciary. Read some Thomas Jefferson (try "The Federalist Papers") and see if it doesn't all make more sense. And personally, I can't stand Michael Jackson, personally or as an entertainer. Give the jurors credit for doing their job, for free - they heard ALL of the evidence, they were there to judge the demeanor and credibility of the witnesses, and they were acting based on the judge's instructions regarding the law. The rest of us hear TV sound bites and talking heads, and then apply our own preconceptions. We simply are not in a position to second-guess a duly empaneled jury.
