D.E.D.,

While you are correct in most of your statement, my own personal view is that the current legal system is far from what your founding fathers intended.

1. Many defense lawyers have no intention of seeking justice, they only strive to get their client off, even if they know full well that they are guilty. This is not right!!

2. Many trial lawyers are effectively trying to extort huge somes of monies only for their own purposes (lawyers should never be allowed to participate in an award).

Trivial and useless lawsuits have hampered many businesses and threaten the innovation and markets in the U.S. For example, what drug company now days, would ever want to incorporate in the U.S. - one day, one in a million clients will die and that will bankrupt you, even if you saved the lives of thousands of others. And then there are insurance costs for everything from cars to liability - why are they insanely high.

I could be wrong, but I believe that jurors were originally to be randomly picked, not "selected" and "bypassed" as they are now.

I could go on, but I will spare you (and we have the same issues in Canada, although to a somewhat lesser degree)

MJ says he wants to move someplace else. Let him try up here in the hills. They would hang him up by his you know what's, that is if he still has them. Most likely had them surgically removed along with half his face years ago.
The only thing worse than that worthless bast*rd is the money hungry lawyer who lied under oath along with him.
I love this country, but it's judicial system sucks!

Thank God the Court of Public opinion is not the same as the Judicial Court.

We all suffer from the so-called experts who meet at some donut shop everyday, in anytown America and supply society with the facts as they see it. To often, society seems to respond, more to these individuals, than the actual facts of a case, or the Constitutionality of the case.

Beyond a reasonable doubt must always prevail.
If not, God help us all.

Again, JMO

I heard he went to Disney Land to celebrate.
I saw a clip where they interviewed the jurors and the jurors actually looked, acted and talked pretty normal. They said the witnesses were not believable. After seeing that clip, I am inclined to believe they did not prove their case, at all.
All of that said, M J is totally weird and is probably a pedophile.

I'll say it,,,,,,he is a child molester. You don't pay out $22 million in two previous situations,,,without there being a good reason. He bought his way out of those two deals,,,,,this one he had to face the charges in court. By his own admission,,,,he enjoys sleeping with young boys

Many jury members said they believed he did it or could have done it,,,,but the case wasn't proven beyond a reasonable doubt for them to convict. I agree. They also said they hated the mother of the boy after she testified,,,,she was arrogant, rude, and a phoney. After her,,,the jurors probably already had made up their minds to acquit,,,,,and paid little attention to the rest of the "weak evidence". I don't know if he was guilty in this present case,,,,,but the other two boy's families should have had the balls to go to court to prosecute this freak,,,instead of selling out their souls for CASH. I hope they enjoy spending the Jackson $$$ they got,,,and think about their son getting spanked every time they spend $1 of it.

Just read where in order to thank the jurors for their hard work in determining a verdict, Michael Jackson has invited all of them and their kids to Nerverland for a picnic and sleepover!

Hey it was a jury of his peers - Don't forget that it was in Southern California!

If the trial had been in the Bible Belt he would have been hung by his .....

Quoting AC "It's the End of the World!" It is kind of scary thinking that he may be right!!!
