The other night I went out to look at a late model truck for some parts and as I went to the back of the lot and in the weeds and trees I struck pay dirt! I think I have the car in the second photo bought! Future Prowler replacement. Also the 1st picture and the 3rd picture belong together from what I was told this was a open wheel racer made for the Worlds Fair?

Bob it's either a 30 or 31 Model A. The 28 and 29 models had a smaller cowl with a sculpted piece just in front of the doors. The turn signals on the front fenders are not stock.

You can see what I am talking about on this pick of my Old 29 Coupe Street Rod

Bob,

Here is a 1939 Delahaye that was made for the 1939 World's Fair. Don't think this is in your woods though.

Bob,

Your weed car is definitely a 1931 Ford Model A. The grill/radiator was unique for 1931, and quite different from both the 1930 and 1932 models.

Weed Car:

1930 Model A:

1931 Model A:

1932 Model A:

Notice the difference in the radiators between the model years. the 1930 model has a squared off radiator bottom, whereas the '31 and '32 both have a rounded radiator bottom. The 1931 model is then differentiated from the 1932 model by having a downward pointed center at the top of the radiator, unlike the 1932's more straight across radiator top.

In any case, it looks like it would take more work and money to make it look good, than it would ever worth when your done. And that's if you get it for nothing.

Don't know what kind of suicide machine that is,,,,,but the engine is a 303 C.I. Olds. Same motor I had in my first car,,,1950 Olds. It was hot until a gal ran a stop sign and cut it in half

At one time the 1939 Ford Pick Up in the last picture looked like this. Where is this Great Boneyard? Dave

The chrome on the headlights and radiator look better than the chrome on some Prowler wheels. lol.
Looks pretty solid, Bob. That had to be a thrilling moment to stumble onto it.

The old women that owns it has not quite accepted my offer yet, I will go over and talk nice to her again this weekend. The trucks in the 4th and 5th picture are stake bed farm trucks and the only real damage is to the fender on the passenger side of the fifth one. The coupe has a flat head 4 in it and the last license plate on it was 1959 and the car is VERY SOLID the only big thing missing is the passenger side running board. I made a offer of $2000 for the car and the trucks along with the labor to finish her deck on the house ( I figure 6 hours 2 guys can do it ).
