Just got the 2nd layer of Asphalt down on the strip... 22' 4" asphalt on 26' 8" concrete base...

Not really drag strip but, it is the road for family subdivision... It will do for some testing...

My new Drag strip...

We're almost done. Complete my shoulders and than we'll put culverts down as we build the houses on home sites...

Started the road on 4/18 cutting in Lime into 8" of soil. Added water & tilled into soil, than compacted & shaped road...

On 4/21 we cut in soil cement with lots of water and compacting & sealing to make a 26' base...

Final oil coating on top of cement to aid the binding of apshalt...

Put down 1st layer of asphalt on Wed. 4/27. Than on Thur. 4/28 we put down the 2nd layer of asphalt..

When will the light tree be installed? By the time you finish your family subdivision, you'll be able to start developing for others!

GeonTex.

It's just under 1/4 mile for this section...

Marty, I'm working on borrowing one... Jimmy is going to be helping & doing my electrical.. He says we need to do some burnouts to help cure the road...

1/4 mile = 1/8 mile run and then 1/8 mile brake test!
