good job...

...I remember going to see the Exorcist at a small neighborhood theater while living in San Antonio Texas....1973 I think....

...we had been playing miniture golf that evening and stopped to see the movie not even knowing what "the Exorcist" was about...when the movie was over there was a really strange crowd standing outside waiting to see the midnight showing of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show".....

so we watch the Exorcist, get the crap scared out of us, and come out of the theatre at midnight to see several hundred freaks in costume to see "Rocky Horror"....a most unusual evening in my memory book.....

...the theme song was done by "Tubular Bells".....still sends shivers.....

....I have never seen it since '73

Well I wasn't spooked that long,,,,,but my blood was sure moving fast during the show, lol. I've seen it a few more times since then. What was the other three show serial movie after the Exorcist? Can't remember the name,,,,but that one left more of a impact on me at the time.

I walked down the infamous steps in Georgetown after the movie and I swear I felt like something was pushing me down. They are very steep! Thats where the priest went flying out.

On a lighter note do you remember when Richard Pryor did the bedroom scene from the Exorcist on a Saturday Night Live skit. Went off on the demon when it started talking about his mama. DON'T YOU BE TALKIN' 'BOUT MY MAMA!! Too funny.

The OMEN,,,,that one left a longer impression on me.

What about the very, very ending to Carrie? Half of the people at the theater lost it right then,,lol.

Yup,,,seen that Richard Prior SNLive skit,,,excellent. I also liked Richie doing his Martin Luther King imitation from the pulpit,,,,,HOW LONG?

In my opinion, the scariest movie ever made. The "version you've never seen before" contains a scene inwhich Regan "walks" down the staricase. I haven't seen it, but I've heard it's quite disturbing.....

Tubular Bells was the album-Mike Oldfield I think was the artist.I went to where they were filming the staircase fall scene at night and watched. It was filmed in Georgetown (Washington DC)it was neat to see how it was all done then see it at the movies. The stain where they poured all the blood (strawberry syrup)was there for months.I thought the movie was a riot, especially the green vomit,I went right out and bought some split pea soup for dinner. All the BS hype on the radio before the movie came out was fun to listen too, actual exorcisms etc.Linda Blair went downhill fast after that original,I think she is still trying to stay in film, with very poor results!
