I just read the great post on how to make the automatic door locks work on the Prowler. Great feature, I have it on all my other cars. On my 2004 Grand Caravan, I have that Integrated Garage Door Opener that is supposed to "learn" your garage door code so all you have to do is push the button and your door will open. I have tried following the procedure 50 times (well okay, 4) but I just cannot seem to get it to work. Has anyone had any luck with this feature? And if so, got any tips? Thanks, Guy

The one on my Ram worked and the one on our Durango works but I have not been able to get the PT Cruiser to work. I think it varies by garage door opener. What brand do you have. This message has been edited by BeWare on 04-26-2005 at 09:00 PM

I have this feature on my cars as well. If the garage door opener is one that changes frequencies every time you use it, the one in the cars can not be programmed with that feature. They will work once and that's it. At least that is what I have been told. My garage door openers are the old style and they work fine off the car system.

Guy, I just traded in my 02 navigator for an 05, I have a seven year old garage door opener that I couldn't program into the 02 but did it in the 05 on Fri. On the side of the opener there is a control panel with a reset button near the antenna wire, I had to push the reset button on that then within 30 seconds go back into the truck hold the old remote next to the button on the visor that I wanted to use push the old and new at the same time. On mine there is a little light that blinks rapidly to let you know if you have it. Hope some of this helps. JimmyThis message has been edited by jma on 04-26-2005 at 09:11 PM

Our garage door opener is a Sears and it works the same way. Except the opener light just flashes once when the code is set. I would like to get the one in the PT work, anyone have any ideas?
