Don't know what a slant six is, but just wanted to see if it's the same design as the mustang from a year or two ago.

firegabe...looks real good. Glad it is functional. Too many rides out there with bolt on or glue on scoops. Nice job.

My Dad used to have something with a shaker hood when he was my age. I'm not sure what model but the color "plum crazy" rings a bell.

WHAT YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN A LEANING TOWER OF POWER?

Chrysler built for many years 1/2 of a V12 and called it a slant 6.........LOL

One of there better engines for all around economy, performance and long life.

My brother bought a 67 Dodge truck from a guy we worked with that told him on the way to work it started knocking, but he went ahead and drove it into work. My brother ask if I would tow him home and help change the engine.

That weekend we went to get the truck and had tow rope to drag it home. I told him since the guy drove it in to work we would drive it as far as it would go then tow the rest of the way (about 16 miles). I opened the hood to have a look and check to see if it had oil and water in it to find the block had a hole big enough to put my fist into the #6 cylinder. I ask him again if the guy drove it in and he said yes.

I started the truck up and drove it home. We never used the tow rope and made it the 16 miles with no problems.

How many other motors could do this and still be running?

They have a slant 6 club that drag races and they have many running 12 seconds.

In the early 60's Chrysler had a factory HYPERPAC slant 6 that came from the factory with aluminum intake and 4 barrel carb & hotter cam

If anyone needs one of these POWER HOUSES I have 2 1967 225 slant 6's for sale
