My question Mike is why did you bid against yourself to raise the amount to hit the reserve already .. aren't you supposed to let others do that for you?

Ray - I think the buy it now goes away when the reserve is hit. now no one can steal it that way.

Buy it now goes away once a bid is made that is NOT the buy it now price ... question is, what WAS the buy it now price, and why not just bid IT if you wanted it as now the horse race has begun with open bidding. ??

The reserve price was obviously lower than the buy it now price so Mike thought he would gamble that it would remain below the buy it now price. The buy it now price does not go away until it reaches the reserve price, I guess.

Ed, you're correct. The Buy It Now feature will still be available until the reserve price is met, then it disappears. The Buy It Now will disappear after the first bid is placed for any auction that doesnt have a reserve...
Nice combo, dqman! Hope you get it. I for one will not bid against you, as you requested...(LOL)!!

Ed was right,
Buy it now went away.
Roadster... LOL yes I thought you would snatch it with the buy it now.

Ed...
Thank you for looking at the car for me, The owner backed out at the last minute, said he changed his mind and was not selling now.
Mike

Good luck with the auction, Mike!

Mike - be careful of Rich - he sneeks up at the last second and steals stuff away all the time!

I don't know why people up the price by constantly bidding throughout the auction.

Just wait til the last minute and steal it for a little more.
Thats how I won 95% my 100 auctions. If I can't be at the computer to bid at the end I don't even bother with it.
