A real tragedy earlier today. I kid who was described as a "loner" who dressed in goth clothing killed his grandparents at their home (the grandfather was apolice officer). He then went to the high school and opened up.

1 teacher, 1 security guard and 5 students killed before the kid shot himself. Several other students injured - some clinging to life.

Happened in northern Minnesota on the Red Lake Indian Reservation.

Our prayers for the families of all those involved.

Sadly the count is now up to 10 dead. Another senseless killing rampage.

Another tragic day. These kids today live in a angry world,,,what is causing this, video games?

I heard a mother of a 16 year old saying that her son is on 'meth'. She has tried to reason with him [he has lost six friends to drug overdose] and pleads for him to think of his future. She said her words go unheard,,,,that kids today live only for what is happening today, and not concerned about tomorrow. A lack of respect and discipline starting in the family setting, has created a monster that we all have to deal with,,,,sad. I learned from whippings from my dad's belt,,,,sorry to say those acts are not allowed today.

Dads belt saved me from a lot of trouble... ironically, I had the opportunity to thank him for that before he passed away...

You have to wonder about the discipline or lack of it that is affecting today's children. It seems like with a lot of families these days that the children are in charge and not the parent.

Parents need to be spending more time paying attention to their kids and what they are doing.

Guy was shot and killed in Sauk Rapids, MN yesterday too. (Small town next to Saint Cloud) He was waiting in his apartment building for someone to pull in the lot to shoot. Sounds like it was completely random. Guy was backing into his parking spot and the shooter unloaded 5 rounds into him. This happened about 2 miles from my house.
