JD, like you say a simple email or phone call goes a long way, his email may be down but his phone works. He called Lindala two times in one day

but as you can see several people have money tied up with no product being delivered or being told when of if it will be delivered.

if your in business & cannot deliver as promised then the buyer should be contacted & given a chance to either wait or refunded their money so they can buy elsewhere.

I have no problem with his quality of work, If I did I would not have continued to buy from him. what I have bought I have been well satisfied.

Mike

Don't think ANYONE is questionong the guys work ..... just his manners and basic business practices. IMO, after seeing here how he treats people who DO entrust him with their hard earned cash and projects, I would just as soon shop elsewhere -- call me impatient, I couldn't wait 4 months without hearing from someone doing work for me. Oh, and there are places one could go to send an Email if it were important ... guess he feels that these people and their 'concerns' aren't important enough ... not even important enough to use his neighbor's computer ... hmmm.

And trust me, I'm just the messenger here.

I talked again to Scott several times this weekend. He told me his internet access is down and can't get on. Whether you belive him or not is up to you. He did begin to tell me of the many problems he has with the polishers and chromers ruining some pieces. I basically told him to stop telling me and tell you guys. I too rely on communication in business. Scott is very aware of what is going on in this post and, rather than hearing it from me or others, I feel you should be hearing from him. In fact, I will try to go by there again today to edge him once again in that direction. He is very sorry, remorseful of what has happened.

To those who are owed items or money, I understand and agree with you. It is not good business.

To the others, I say sit back and watch how it goes. If it goes badly, don't buy, if it goes good, think about it.

And to everyone. Scott's biggest problem is his quest for quality. Nothing I have received has had any defects. I have on the other hand, had to return items at least on one occasion from all the other vendors on this board for workmanship issues. All of them I still purchase from. I do also have the luxury of being able to push Scott when it comes to my projects, as he is a neighbor of mine.

If you all stop buying from Scott it be a big bonus to me, as it would be the locals getting all the quality, unique work from him. But that's another story.

I hope this all gets straightened out to everyone's satisfaction.

Peace bother. [/B]

Thank god Scott doesn't Have any of my money!!, But i have recommended him the past and was about to place an order with him before this commotion started.
I have been in business for a long time and there one thing that's certain. And that is that in some case's more people will hear about the one bad experience than the hundreds of good ones.

I REALLY still don't get it, why is it that someone else is still telling everyone about how.
(He is very sorry, remorseful of what has happened.).

God Scott step up and face the music, I also think having all your friends chiming in for you is really fueling the FIRE.

This is something all in business should take note of especially with the internet.
Bad news travels around the world before good news gets up and puts it's shoes on.
Better get your shoes on fast it is almost to late.

I have purchased many items from Scott and found them all to be top quality. I have never had difficulty receiving the merchandise, however, it usually takes a few weeks longer than other vender channels. Scott has always returned my calls when I have left a message. Don't give up on Scott, he will deliver.

........there you go.......

Now, seriously - years ago you COULD have a good product ONLY but these days it's allllll about customer service - being a manufacturer myself and knowing the customer's demand for services, the former philosophy of "having a good product only" won't cut it anymore - in this age of communication marvels like telephones, emails, voicemail, cell phones etc. IMO it's unacceptable to give a customer the perverbial "cold shoulder" - no matter WHAT the problem might be (unless you're in a coma in a hospital) but it's NOT acceptable to "pocket" someone's $$ for months without any kind of notification, update, explanation etc.

I think that for the majority, we here in the POA are a buch of good natured, forgiving, understanding people. I am sure that a few phone calls and a few emails would set everthing right. It just seems too easy to not do. JMO

It's time you people take some action. Call the Postal Inspectors and lodge a complaint and/or the consumer affairs division of the state attorney general's office from the state that Scott resides in. You people waited far to long to get your merchandise or money back. From what I have been reading the guy has been totally unreasonable. No way to run a business.
