As of this morning the talks are back on once again. They are now considering a 28 game season and a 16 team postseason. What's the point?

I think we should boycott the season.
I am a fan but this is really pathetic.

Some of these player's have already signed on with teams in Europe and others may not be in playing shape. To have a 28 game season is ludicrous.

If they settle, this would be strictly for the cash, period.

I agree with RED5 the fans should boycott the season.

My trip to St. Louis to see the Blues play is about 180 miles ONE WAY. I have made that trip in good and bad weather. But this season(?) no way. I am really sick of it all.

Reminds me of the movie called "Wayne's World" where they were playing hockey in a public street:

"Game off, Game off"
"Game on, Game on"

i really wanted to see them try and play some games this year...
because i wanted first to see if any fans would go...
second if they would boo the players when they first went on the ice..

other than that.... i'm glad its dead....

a sad statement about todays players and what the game means to them.......$$$$$

They must not understand where hockey stands as far as popularity in the US. It aint baseball or football.
Maybe not even Pro golf.?. I understand they are pro athletes and want to make as much as possible during thier careers but its all relative to the amount of fans the sport draws and advertisments they can bring in.

Personally I would rather go to or watch a hockey game over any other sport. It is very sad.

I loved going to MSG when I lived in NY or even to Nassau Colliseum to see the Islanders take a beating. Was looking foward to going to see the Blackhawks play out here, but now I feel like.....meh, who cares.
They dont deserve to see me or my money.

Unfortunately, it's the fans who end up losing the most.
