Anyone see last night's truck race? If you missed it and you like NASCAR style racing, catch the replay. It was better then the cars. Lots of action right to the end. Poor Spencer--thought he finally had one.

Al - I switched the channel, but the race was over. Heard something about a controversy on the offical finish???

Did the Dodge Ram win? Todd Bodine? Wish I would have caught it.

I watched it too.
They had 2 distinct packs the whole race. One group beating each other up for the lead and the second holding back to stay out of the "Big One".

AC- Bobby Hamilton won in a Dodge. Jimmy Spencer in a Dodge was second and Todd Bodine third in a Toyota. Dodge took 3 of the top five places.

Thanks Randy!

That's right,,,Todd Bodine's hat said TUNA on it, lol.

I could never understand why a person would buy a new Toyota truck,,,,,,,,right there on the side it says:

T R D

I wouldn't want to advertise that I was driving a TURD.

Spencer was leading the last lap with Hamilton starting the pass just as an accident happened. If they stopped the racing when the accident happened, Spencer would have won, but Hamilton got the nod as he was past Jimmy when the yellow track light went on. Spencer was sitting in victory lane for about 10 mintues while officials viewed the tape and was pushed out to let Hamilton in.

Damn,,,,,,,,,,there should have been some fists flying at that point, lol. I'll try and catch the rerun version.

Above, I made some fun at Toyota. Being realistic now,,,they have made huge steps in racing. Remember the turbo four banger in IMSA racing,,,everyone laughed at them the first year,,,,were not laughing at the end. Indy car racing - took them a few years,,,but they got it right and won many races. Just a matter of time, and they will be winning in NASCAR. jmo

Butchcee...

...Vance and Hines ???

...Tracy grew up here in New Castle, his dad Jim always worked at local car parts stores and did auto repair on his own....their kids Teddy and Tracy started out racing bicycles, go karts, sprint cars etc etc....Tracy has driven Nascar trucks the last few years and also drove for Ricky Rudds team for a while....about all the details I know...I don't follow racing as closely as I used to...

Tangled--Vance&Hines is a pro stock bike racing team. They also supply HD and Metric exhaust systems. http://www.vanceandhines.com/vr.html
I just wondered if they branched out from there. Be nice if your relative can make the big time one day. Box seats, merchandise, more pics to post.
