A friend works for the Nova Scotia Power Corp as a line maintenance tech and was working Clearing off birds nests from the power poles when they get so large that they become a hazzard to both the eagles and the integrity of the power distribution sysyem. there are many America Bald eagles here in Nova Scotia...

He found 37 cat collars in one nest he was removing...

meow...meow.....

AC better keep one eye on the road and one eye to the sky...

Halicat, Butch, and Chromer - Since I lost five lbs in the last two weeks,,,,I'm worried about those Am. Eagles coming after me. I don't have a collar to be identified with, so I'm looking into buying a Tazer gun,,,,think a Tazer hit will stop those hungary eagles?

Where I live, seems somone in the early 50's accientally let loose a handful of green parrots.

Over the years, they have multiplied quite a bit. They build their nests high in those really huge metal power line towers. The nests are huge and look to each house probably a 100 birds each or so. Not made out of twigs either. These bird condos are made of wood sticks that look to be bigger then the birds that live there.

It's incredible to see them and watch them in your backyard, from time to time.

AC--don't worry about the extra pounds. Like my Daddy used to tell me: " you can't drive a spike with a tackhammer"

Not true. It tried but could not succeed do the chin strap which was secured and tied in a double knot. I am too smart for those bird brained birds. A/C is always lying about me. lol
