Feb 9, 2:19 AM EST Wild cat spotted in nature preserve CAVE CREEK, Ariz. (AP) -- The Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department closed Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area after there were sightings of a wild, large cat acting in an unusual manner. Two hikers spotted the cat early Tuesday on a trail. Several county employees constructing trails in the park also encountered a large cat. Both groups witnessed the animal growling and coming close to humans. The Arizona Game and Fish Department along with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office were searching the area for the wild cat.

All great posts I read about that,,,but wasn't going to mention that here at the POA, lol. A month ago, I seen my first Az. mountain lion crossing a highway about 25 miles south of Phx metro area. From 150 yards away,,,I thought it was a coyote crossing the road,,,but at 100 yards and closing I could see it was a full grown mountain cat. Not going to mess with those kittys,,,,they will eat ya!!! I see many people riding bicycles out along this road,,,,if they only knew This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 02-09-2005 at 10:05 PM |
