Don't have one of those new-fangled things. I hardly use mine and it's not worth the money to me.

I don't own a cell phone at all. I used them when I lived overseas, but I've never felt like I needed to be on the dang phone enough to justify the cost...

....last year I got my parents a cell phone for security....sort of a family plan....gave one to my daughter in law, my wife and I kept one too....mine rarely has more than 30 minutes per month...my wife has a few minutes per month...my 83 year old father uses several hundred minutes per month, PLUS the free weekends he is on it nearly 24 hours per day....he talks on it so much he has to charge the batteries every day.....he says it is the best gift he ever received....he calls old army buddies and family members in Kentucky and talks for hours....he is blind and has little else to do but talk.....he just can't believe weekends are FREE...he was too stingy to call anyone long distance before....

I got rid of the house phone and bought a cell phone. I never get calls trying to sell me storm windows, the newspaper, etc. It cost about $40 or 45 a month. Just not getting the sales calls is worth the few extra bucks.

My son in the military is like Ed (with regard to the cell phone! lol!). He's Special Ops and is gone a lot. He has a house phone, but doesn't use it. He mainly had it for the computer dial-up. Now he has DSL and doesn't use it unless someone calls him on it. He makes all his calls with a cell.

ED I did the same thing. After years of having both I thought why am I doing this? So the land line is gone and you are right no BS calls. Jeff
