I was talking to Tami yesterday about fees from Texas and want to take to Marty & Gary that did Pigeon Forge to make sure I do not miss anything.

We will be having only 1 group meal that will be included in the base fee per person. Along with Coffee,Juice Donuts in the morning.

We may need to collect a per car fee for State Park Pass if our travels take use thru one and I am sure it will. Along with any other place we may need to pay to park or drive the cars so we do not create a traffic jam.

It is my thought to give the Hotel a list of attractions or places that we plan to see and have them arrange the tickets and attendees can then buy only the ones they are going to use at the Hotel.
By doing it this way:
You only pay for what you want to see or do.
The Hotel already has discounts in place that are as good if not better than I can arrange.
We as group organizers are not on the hook for un-used tickets so we can cut a big chunk of what I call "Slush Fund Money" from the Event Fees.

Also a per driver fee will be collected for the Racing.

A few other items I am sure will be added but it is our goal to keep the base fees low. You will know in advance of the event what attraction prices are so you can put it in your budget.

If anyone sees a problem with doing it this way please let me know.

To tag on to what Bob said, the hotels usually have water park passes (the one I was referencing under the 'children's attendees' under Events) that come with the stay ... and as far as other attracions (Tommy Bartlett show, Duck rides, magician show, Circus World) there are kiosks around town that sell packages that YOU pick and choose and based on the number of attractions, the cheaper the fee. As we get closer, Bob may begin a psot asking for participation commitments for various things, OR just wait til everyone arrives there to make their own decissions and purchases (Unless we want a group night to the magician or group outting to the Ducks) Make sense?

The Dells have SO MUCH to do that people will be amazed and ample "free time" should be in the week's itinerary for individual "adventures" (downtown shopping in historic old Dells (have a swig with Nig), hiking along the Wisconsin river, go off in search of Ed Guine).

Anyone NOT yet planning on coming should really try to make this event ... it really will be "Fun For The Whole Kat Family!"

I WENT TO THE DELLS WITH MY SON LAST SUMMER, SO I KNOW WHERE THE GOOD RESTAUANTS ARE AND ATTRACTIONS, I HAVEN'T BOOKED MY ROOM YET BUT I CALLED THE HOTEL ON 2/3 AND THEY STILL HAVE ROOMS. I PLAN ON BEING THERE, JUST LOOKING FOR A PASSENGER, PROBABLY ONE OF MY SON'S OR A YOUNG WOMAN.
