Well, we had finished our driving or lack of driving with 1st unit on Friday. We went back Saturday to see if my #78 would be there.. It wasn't on the site.. After taking some pics, I stopped by the Hazzard car picture lot and found out it was at another location filming (Clinton) race scenes around a court house.

So, the 78 Vette is still being used (abused) or whatever. Of the six rental cars being used, they have blown two motors and wrecked one...

Here's some pics from Saturday filming at State Capital Dragway...

2nd Unit Evo (twin turbo, intercooler and over 400 HP).

Lining up extras along drag strip for finish of race..

2nd Unit rehearsal of finish...

2nd Unit crew filming the scene of General Lee & Boss Hogg's cars sliding through the pit area after crossing the finish Line. Eveidently the script calls for the race to continue to the Hazzard court house.

A guy named Reese (?) is the stunt driver driving the General Lee for 2nd unit and is suppose to be the best in the world at drifting...

They were actually coming through here pretty fast and continued on to the main road and down a service road for another 1/2 mile before they would holler cut...

2nd Unit stunt driver Reese

All the equipment for the shot. The SUV has to stay in close proximity of the EVO to pick up all the remote electronics...

Looks like FUN Laddie. Have you seen Burt Reynolds? Has he recovered from that terrible rafting injury?

I didn't know about the rafting accident. But, he walks like he is really hurting and he tripped coming down the stage stairs on Thurs. Continued shooting his get away scene from the beginning of the race...

Bob.

I went to CLinton today to check on the 78 Vette. So, i stopped and took a picture in front of Cooter's Garage.

They were filming at the LSU Research Center. Dirt racing... By the time I got there the truck driver had already taken the Vette back to Camp Avondale (Boy Scout Camp) where they are staying when in Clinton area...

78 is lil dirty ...

The inside is more than a lil dirty...

Yellow Prowler & Yellow Vette...

more pictures posted: http://www.ccc-la.com/gallery/index.php

I may go out tomorrow and take the Red...
