Looks like they are starting to come out in anticipation of hungry buyers at Barrett-Jackson...last year Cudas and Challengers with hemis were bringing high dollar sales! Certainly out of my league at that price

...tells me I sold mine too early .....I needed the money to send Cookie to Jane Fonda body sculpting classes.....I really got my moneys worth.....she was terribly outta shape before........pricing went crazy in the late 1980s, and has recently done the same...I would be afraid to purchase some items now....I would bet the 'CUDA conv in the picture is a clone.....but even they are bringing big $$$ these days..... ...this picture is about 15 years old, but it still seems funny to think those two cars would probably bring well in excess of a million $$$ today....and I just drove them.... left....First HEMI Challenger ever made(JS29ROB100015, pilot car), it was an RT/SE which made it 1 of 60 built..."Car and Driver" magazine road test car in 1969... ...on the right, 71 CUDA conv. 340/AT....rubber bumpers, power windows etc etc....one of 292 made in 1971.....saw these for sale last summer at the MOPAR Nats for hundreds of thousands of $$$.... ...MOPARS...my long term prediction for appreciation.....winged cars(Daytonas/Superbirds) and HEMI E-Body convertables(CUDA, Challenger).....all others will follow to some extent, but these will be the "high dollar classics" of the future... ....last HEMI Charger(1968) I sold was $38,500....looks like a bargain today...sold a HEMI Daytona for $195K about 10 years ago.....last I heard, one brought $800K...sold the "Trams AM"(Challenger T/A, AAR CUDA) cars all the way from $5K to $30K.....now they rest comfortably in the $45K to $60K range for nice numbers matching examples....still have one left, owned nearly 30 of them thru the years... ....there is not much action in the stock market the last 5 years, but if it takes off, cars may become dormant again....

W/C - your right,,,,looked at 2 many cars yesterday,,,,,Challenger it is. To error is human, to forgive is against POA policy!Dave - thanks for your support,,,,,,,you know how old age gets to one's brain, lol. Tangled - maybe the convert was a clone?, but it was flawless. The Challenger has all the back paperwork, original numbers, and complete history to go with it. Jim - There was nearly 700 cars attending yesterday,,,the next three weeks at the Pavilions should be jam packed. If you can, show up early next week.

AC...I was hoping to get out there this year for the auction, but end of the year tax stuff got me off schedule.....we will be in AZ soon, just not sure when........Cookie is trying to lose the few extra pounds she put on this winter....she wants to ride in your silver Prowler AGAIN this year....Cookie still talks about the late night cruise to the nude beach(I think it was a blow up pool in AC's back yard), moonlight walks, soft music and a trunk full of Twinkies.....

Bell - Cookie is looking slimmer all the time,,,,,must be that Twinkie suit you wear to bed with her every night?I sure do have some MEMORIES of her last visit here,,,you taught her well, lol. Since you can't make it for Barrett-Jackson,,,,be sure to watch the live auctions on SPEED channel,,,,,and watch the $$$ your old Mopars bring in the ring Tax stuff? You pay taxes? You need to chat with Meancat [Jerry],,,,he uses the AC TaxLess Treatment System and his business always shows in the red, lol.
