Incase you didn't see it on November 21st while watching "Homecoming" on tv,,,this link will take you to a short video/commercial presented by Ford Motor Company in Saluting our Troops. Really well made video, IMO.

The best non-commercial commercial I've ever seen. Got a tear my eye not because of hot rodding, but because of the powerful family and country message.

FORD raised the bar for the competition and "classed up" advertising with this powerful composition.

Can't bring this one up, but American Dreams is my favorite TV show and I did see that episode.

I just checked this link again,,,and it works fine.

You might have to hit/click on the button in the lower left side to play. Button with II on it.

Those of you back from a Christmas trip,,,take a minute or two to view this video.

I've tried playing it probably 2 dozen times, from the site, as well as directly in windows media player. I get full audio but have yet to get the video to do anything but show some stills, and some short video. With my dialup, it's real jerky. I thought bringing it up in the player I would maybe be able to save it and play it back from my hard drive, but it wouldn't let me even save it. What pieces I've managed to see, combined with the audio, its pretty good. I just wish I could get it all together.

First off, upgrade your windows media player based on your operating system [Windows 2000] or [Windows XP] to 9 or higher.

To figure out what version Windows Media you have, do the following

Here is the direct video link

or copy past the line below directly into your browser.

I have ver. 10

I tried the mms link. I got more stills and less video. What is that anyway? When did they go to mms vs. http?
(BTW - XPSP2 26.4 conn. 56K modem)

Since your dialup, there might be an issue with your carrier signal and therefore loosing your connection. Your stream is not consistent so your video is corrupted.

There is usually a TTL (Time To Live) variable and you might be exceeding this and timing out.

You got to get DSL!!

Later...

I got a new HP computer a couple months back. It has Windows XP. I installed service pack 2. Somehow, now most all videos try to play on Quicktime. I have tried to uninstall Quicktime player 10-12 times. Each time it says it is uninstalled, but just starts the next vid in Quicktime. Somehow it doesn't really uninstall. I really don't care for the Quicktime player. Has too few options about the size of image you want to watch. Sure wish I could dump this Quicktime player. I'll never buy another HP computer. All the garbage that came installed. There were at least 4 diff. firewalls. 4 diff. pop-up blockers.

Download Windows Media Player. There is a preference setting in there to tell it what file types to default to play. I have QT as well. When I bring something up there, it pops up a window asking me if I wish to send all my similar data to QT (or something like that - basically asking to make QT my default player) and I just say no.
