Twila Tanner finished 2nd. We think she was robbed. Twila was born and raised here in Marshall. She went to school with our two daughters. We had lunch at Porkys recently and she was there. We all had a good time teasing her trying to get her to tell us if she won or not. She is a good girl with a lot of heart. She deserved to win. We had a great time cheering her on for the last 12-15 weeks.

Twila knows you? No wonder she lost!!! :

Alley Cat Chris was the man,,,,no way he was going to lose the million! He took Twila to the final two because he knew most of the others hated her. Smart guy,,,and winning those last two challenges didn't hurt. Loved the way he screwed over Amy, the next chick after Amy, and Eliza. He figured it all out and was in the driver's seat.
The CBS Survivor poll before the airing showed 62% of the voters wanted him to win it all, and he did.
Half a million after taxes,,,and he'll pis$ it all away in no time. JMO

BCGG, this sounds something like the Kerry camp. lol. We got robbed! They were trying to stop the electoral vote today in Ohio. I hope this election gets over before the next campaign starts.
I have not watched 5 minutes of any of the reality shows. We have had several locals in them, one might have won, in fact. Rudy the school teacher is about 20 minutes south of Cincy in N. KY.

Ed - all BS aside,,,,,you would make a great contestant on Survivor. Your wit, humor, and willingness to persist could put an "extra" million in your wallet, lol.

Have to help out my feeble buddy across the river...

Rudy was a retired military man from the first season of Survivor. Roger, known on the show as KY Joe, was on a later season. Roger was the guy from northern Kentucky. I believe he landed a job in KY gov't after that.

MY wife enjoys Survivor so I've watched on and off since it's been on. This season, Twila was definitely the 'evil' character... like someone said on the reunion show, she needed to learn when to keep her mouth shut... congrats to Chris for one-upping the female alliance...

Mike, thanks for the clarification. Now that I read it, I remember it the way you posted it. There was a woman who had something to do with the Boy Scouts from Cincy, also. I think she lasted fairly long. It is always on the local news since it is the same network. They hype it every evening.
A/C, I doubt if I will be applying for the show. I am still waiting for tickets to get on Lawrence Welk. lol

CJ, I do not follow your reasoning. A/C has been FIXED and you still watch him at the events! You never know what he will do next, either.

Ed - yes, I was FIXED in 1973. I was poor at the time, and just went to the local dog and cat shelter for the $10 snip,,,, hence the name alley cat, lol.

I'd agree Survivor is "edited" to produce the story line you see on the air and that the producers create challenges to attempt to get some particular direction, but I don't believe it is "fixed". Sometimes the real thing is better than "fixing" the end result.

If I get accepted to be on the show, should I wear a POA shirt??? :

As long as it's real comfortable, because you're going to have it on for along time! The lady Ed mentioned that wore her Boy Scout troop leader shirt, later said she wished she hadn't worn it, hadn't brought the Scouts into the whole backstabbing, lying, dog eat dog world that is Survivor...

Maybe I'll wear a YUGO Owner's shirt instead and everyone will feel sorry for me. :
