Nothing could make up for the misdirection on the Charger.

There was never misdirection for the Charger........they NEVER intended it to look like the concept vehicle.

They apparantly didn't intend it to like anything that would sell to us older guys who remember the real thing either.

Chances are pretty good that you will NEVER see suicide doors on a production car again. I don't think U.S. manufacturers can meet current side impact regulations with a "true" suicide door design, and probably don't want to even think about the potential liabilities involved if the vehicle did not provide adequate protection in a side impact collision. But it still is nice to dream and looks really great on show cars....aahhh...the joys of government regulations....thanks Ralph Nader.

That's what I thought. The new Charger isn't a bad looking car, but why do they have to use classic names for new cars that don't even closely resemble the original? Oh yeah...nostalgia = $$$$$
