I haven't seen anything posted about this so I thought I'd mention this for anyone who is interested. If you have or can get a Sam's Club calling card you can donate minutes to the U.S Military troops, at 3.5 cents a minute you can donate a whole lot of minutes to the men and women serving this country.

I read an article the other day... as I recall, MCI is providing free calls home for our troops at Christmas. I don't know if this is only for those overseas or not but I'm sure that contacting MCI you can find out and pass the info on.

A friend mentioned that some family that shoot a lot of deer make venison jerky and send boxes to Iraq. Said they have gotten a lot of thank-you's. What red-blooded American solder does't love home-made jerky?
