Watched it as well - really liked Titus's 56 custom - looked sharp ! NOW after watching that yesterday I can't wait to join the tour next year !! |

Yes. As far as I know there is no restriction on year (caveat - I haven't actually been on the Tour). My husband, Jim, has long-hauled it twice (97 (I think) and this year). He's also done segments of the Tour a few other years. He's always had a great time. But - he has taken the attitude to go with the flow, enjoy seeing the cars, and meeting people. Some folks seem to take a little too seriously and expect it to be like an organized car show or something. He took two of the kids with him this year and I know they'll always have great memories of spending some time on the road with thier dad cruising the country. (BTW -- his car got into the Hot Rod issue on the tour -- small pic doing a burnout - 55 Chevy). I'd like to go on one (either take the Prowler or my 70 Dart Swinger) ... but Jim says he'll probably skip it next year and wait till they have a tour starting or ending on the west coast again. We watched it last night thought it would be fun to do the 2005 full tour. but to far away to commit.The wife said she was busy them dates.(I told her she didn't have a car anyway!) ------------------ |

Boy! In 2005 I would have to drive to Wisconsin then do Power Tour to florida then home to CT!!! heck of a ride!! ------------------ |
