Well I hope you are all happy with the calendar being able to be bought by pay pal.

I do not like or trust using the computer for banking transactions and today is the iceing on the cake.

Last year Bryce had a pay pal account and I was planning on paying him for all the calendars directly with pay pal, but he no longer has his account.

SO plan B Transfer money from paypal to my checking account, this is an old account I have and do not use much. mainly for the calendar the last 2 years.

Tomorrow I should be able to pick up the calendars and have to pay for them. Today I find out I can only transfer $500 once a month and it takes 3~4 business days to transfer

Next was to get a debit card to get the rest of the money. I have only had the account for 45 days and you have to have it for 60 day to get the debit card.

So tomorrow I will be taking money out of my account to pay for all the calendars and in a few months I will get my money back for the calendars.

IF any of you understand Pay pal better than me please advise what I should do to get my money before sometime next year

i've heard everyone talk about pay pal but have never investigated it to find out what it is all about... i've always gotten postal money orders or certified checks at the bank and have only recently used my visa for purchases on line.
i'm to old school and comfortable to wait a little longer to get what i want.... i'm actually surprized i even use the computer at all !! well i gotta go now, gotta do the laundry down at the stream using a couple of rocks, someday i'm going to get one of those new fangled washin boards...

keep it simple and be patient..

I use PayPal a lot, but I leave my money in that account to pay for other purchases on line, so I guess I have never experienced what you are going through, Larry. I was unaware of the restrictions.

Larry,

I use paypal a lot like cnote and never had any problems keep in mind that it says it "could"takes 3~4 business days to transfer but the money makes to my bank in 2 days max. Also you can call them and see it they could help out....I have not heard of the "$500 once a month" rule.I transfer that much or more daily sometimes...or you can get the debit card which is free and pay for things and get cash back which i do a lot as well....

When I have a balance in my PayPal account I simply ask them to send me a check. It usually takes less than a week and only costs a few dollars. Is that an option for you?

I never have any money coming in, it is always going out so I never tried what you are attempting. Sorry for more aggravation for you when you are doing something nice for all of us.

Wildcat Larry,

Is there anything we, as a group, can do to assist you in this?

I thought the $500 limit had to do with whether or not you had a 'confirmed' PayPal address... I'd have to go back and read the fine print at Paypal, but when you view your account online, does your address say 'confirmed' by it?

I have used PayPal for about three years now. I sold a lot of stuff on eBay and received payments without fees for quite awhile until someone wanted to pay with a credit card. PayPal said in order for me to accept that payment, I had to upgrade to a business account which charges fees. Ever since then, every payment I got was charged a fee even if it was not a credit card payment. I finally complained and found out there is a "one-time" opportunity to change back from a business account to a personal account. Now I can received payments without being charged fees, but will not accept credit card payments. The caveat is, I can only receive $1,000 a month in payments.

Here is a suggestion. Why not send the money by PayPal to someone on POA who has the business account? They can turn it into a check in a couple days. Beats waiting a couple months if you ask me.

You can refund their payment thru PayPal and they can just write you a check in return.

PAY PAL REALLY STINKS

As I have stated before. I do not like pay pal. They claim you can only withdraw $500 per month.......THIS IS A LIE..... It must be every 30 days since today is a new month and they will not let me withdraw money to my account electronicly or thru a check request.

I had someone use my credit info 10 years ago trying to buy a $94,000 Mercedes Benz. That is the reason I do not TRUST the internet for banking or any important info.

For me to be able to withdraw more than $500 EVERY 30 DAYS, I have to give them my Social Security number, which I WILL NOT DO.

once I get my money from this it will be my LAST use of pay pal

You made my curious so I called PayPal and I was told that these rules only apply to unverified members. I guess that is why I was unaware of this since I have been a verified member since the beginning.

My unverified amount is $1000 each month. I must admit I hardly use it. Last month was the first time I had any trouble. Did not have enough to purchase the trailer stand. Ended up sending Larry a check. I do not really understand becoming verified. They ask for a checking account number. I do not feel comfortable ever giving my business account number away.

been verified, went with business account so everyone could play,

I will get my money. It isn't like I'm broke and cannot front the money for the calendar, it is just the thought they take a fee for each sale, and then will only allow $500 a month but it is really every 30 days unless I'm willing to provide MORE PERSONAL INFO. I will close the account in Feb once it is at $0

I tried to request a check and again was only able to receive a TOTAL of $500 a month and that was already transfered

I received about 1/3 in checks & cash and the other from pay pal
