I don't know, but one of them is mine. It was given to me as a wedding gift. It's for sale now. Bid high and bid often! Considering all offers.

The other night we were talking about buying a star. How many times do you think they sell the same star? How would you know if your star had been sold 100 times, or even more?

Mine was bought direct from the place selling them. (I can get you that info if you need it.) They could possibly tell you if the star has been sold before since they are the ones that would change the name attached to the star, they may keep those records.
I'm serious about selling mine if you're interested...

Ed - they do only sell them once.... the records ARE kept and they are very particular about keeping them.

Astronomy, the stars, is a true love of mine.... I think I posted once here before, but here is an analogy of 'how many' there are...

If all the stars known to man, each one, was shrunk down to be the size of a grain of sand, and the sand was then loaded into a dump truck, then One dump truck would be required to hold all the stars in our galaxy, the Milky Way.

If ALL the stars known to man were to be loaded, you would need a train, full of hopper cars, with each hopper car containing about the same as 3 dump trucks.

If you sat in your car at a railroad crossing and watched a train going by at the rate of one car per second over this crossing.... it would take three YEARS for the complete train to pass.....

(Think ya might be a lil late for work that day?)

Mickey - I'm calling the FBI to report this!
I know for a fact that your ex was awarded that star in the divorce papers, and you continue to keep it from her,,,,now even trying to sell it out from under her. What revenge we carry in our hearts! I hope when she moved out of the house that she even took the last roll of toilet paper with her

Last night on the local news they were talking about this being a perpetual scam. NO business can sell a star. The astronomy society names stars and they are not for sale.
I heard it on TV, it HAS to be true. I think Dan Rather confirmed it.

My wife got me one a few years ago and she just got one for her son. Not sure if it's real or not and frankly I thought it was a waste of money, but the thought was nice. http://www.starregistry.com/
