I was going to wait to post this, but then I thought, what the hell... and you wouldn't be able to enjoy it as long. I sure hope everyone has a sense of humor... I had to use certain words to make it rhyme and flow right. This is not a reflection on anyone. Thank you everyone for your kind comments. I have been writing poetry since I was about 10 or 11 I guess. Not many are very good, I don't think, but I have saved them all and told my sister, when I die, to get them bound and printed. Every once in a while I come up with a good one tho. When I was in 7th grade, we had to write 5 poems in English class. Mine came back with grammer corrections to make. I told the teacher that I wouldn't make her changes. To do so wouldn't make it MY poem. The words I chose, I chose for their meaning, be it MY meaning, (sometimes a hidden meaning), or to maintain flow and rhyme. She agreed and gave me an A+. I just felt like giving something to everyone in here to smile at during the holiday season. Seems to have worked. May each one of you have a great holiday season, a very Merry Christmas, and a very safe, and Happy New Year! |
