And now,,,,,LeBron James, high school graduate and future NBA star (?) gets $90 million from Nike and $5 million from trading card company to sign for ads. I'll bet YF will like his body, lol.

When AIR JORDAN shoes were introduced they started selling them at MIDNIGHT on the first day that they could be released. Kids and their parents were lined up to get them. They actually had murders committed to steal the shoes. Some people identify with stars and think that will make them become stars.
Read this week's Sports Illustrated about golf clubs made in China. The workers put in 7 - twelve hour days and make $ 100 a MONTH. There may be a slight bit of profit in golf clubs, shoes etc. I think the ad companies usually know what they are doing, although sometimes they pick a loser.
By the way, Marty Usher's picture is in Sports Illustrated on page 24. Unfortunately they misspelled his name. They have it spelled Tug McGraw but I am sure it is Marty. lol

90 million dollars......and you wonder why sneakers are $60 bucks a pair!!!

YF, my point is based more on that advertising money that is spent on one person could have gone to support AMERICAN JOBS in an AMERICAN FACTORY. But business is business right?

I'm not convinced about you being anything, nor do I care.

I only know about the young Ohio kid from what I read in papers and ESPN. You probably don't watch ESPN,,,too much drag racing for you to digest and besides, someone might get killed.

Yes, I have alot of other interests besides ESPN but, occassionally do watch it.

Drag racing at a race track is pretty cool whether top fuel or funny car. Racing on city streets is another matter.

In both scenarios though, folks can and do get killed occassionally. On the track, they take their own life in a pretty well controled environment. On the street, it's anyones guess whom they may take with them. That is what I object to.

Now if you'd have bothered to ever pay attention, you'd know that I have always objected to street racing and not the other. In any event, you should know now!

Oh, I paid attention for sure. That is the subject you and I always disagreed on,,,street racing,,,and that is why I mentioned drag racing in the above,,,to raise the hairs on your back!

Pay attention and make a note to yourself: I prefer ladies with anorexic bodies and big noses,,,,and will keep them "in" the camera's lenses. If you would have attended the museum grand opening in your town, you would have understood. Probably too busy going public?

I guess the difference between men and boys, when you grow up, someday, you'll understand.

If you would have attended the museum grand opening in your town, you would have understood.

FYI - I don't live in Houston skippy!

Probably too busy going public?

Jealousy rears it's ugly head once again. LOL!
