I cannot agree more, a v-6 is easily capable of 400-500 HP when done properly.

I don't understand the concept of the Crossfire "replacing" the Prowler. No more Prowlers wil be made again no matter what.

The Crossfire may be a niche car, but not even in the same league as the Prowler. They can't be compared to each other just because they share the same assy line area.

Crosfire has a wimpy engine, and Motor Trend is not even sure of the market potential based on it's competition.

My understanding is that the Crossfire is NOT being made at CAAP. In my mind it is not a replacement for the Prowler any more than you would call the SSR a replacement for the Camaro. The Crossfire line just happens to be introduced after the production run of the Prowler.

To me the Crossfire is a sporty GT type vehicle. Perhaps if they enhance the engine performance and handling or offer a special package in the future it will more sports car oriented than the intitial run. It will also be a higher production volume vehicle.

Personally I like the looks as portrayed in photos I have seen, but would certainly not consider it as a replacement for my Prowler.

Just some news from DC...

The Prowler production was replaced with VIPER production...main reason...there are more people with 75 grand to spend than 45 grand...more profit...

The Crossfire is not made in this country...It's made in D/c's mother country..GERMANY....Guess where they had their last Board of Directors meeting??

Berlin....nice American Company huh...

PS...I work for them.

....You might want to notice the original post on this subject was over 2 years ago...the news was derived from an article in Automobile Weekly if I remember correctly.....it was really just the first hint the Crossfire might be produced and CAAP seemed like a choice at the time....but as we all know things change....CAAP really looks different these days since the Prowler is gone....there won't be a Crossfire in my future...
