It looks like it could sell, but it would take a while for most people to warm up to it's different appearance. (I'll bet it's chassis is very similar to the Kats) ------------------ |

Heres what I think. That car was originally designed by and supposed to be built here in the USA by CHRYSLER, but now it's going to br built overseas. I'm not buying an import Chrysler period ! |

If I wanted a steenking Mercedes, I would have bought one! Have you ever followed one of those stinkin smoke belching diesels up a mountain pass yet? If I have to buy overseas, I'll buy Toyota. They are da-- good cars and are assembled here. ------------------ |

The Crossfire will not be replacing Prowler at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant. It is being built overseas.

Of course my first love is my "PROWLER" and want a second soon, However when the dealers stop killing the price we will buy a CROSSFIRE, my wife loves it (me also). Replace the prowler? Only with another one. But this car would be a close second Im sure. ------------------ |

Benzo's are lame, I sold my FULLY PAID FOR 2001 CLK 430 and bought a PTCRUISER! I will absolutely buy a crossfire if it is not built with a bunch of crap like the benz. No Offence to Rudy, I have just had so many cars that out perform a benz. I'm married, my manhood has been proven and I do not need a BADGE. Hope the crossfire is as good as it looks. ------------------ |

The Crossfire will not be taking up any space in my garage. I won't buy it. ------------------ |

Well, Rudy, some of my comments were emotion driven. I had wished luck selling the CrossFires. Then I read where they were being made and my blood boiled. The folks at CAAP who did such an excellent (could one say loving) job of putting our kats together - and they probably could not afford to buy one for themselves. They get the boot and the car that should follow the Kat is going to be built away from it's home. On your MB, is it a diesel? I notice it has no plates, so it must be brand new. Follow a diesel with a few years on it up a steep grade where they have it floored and not only does it go slow, but you've got to put on your fog lights, windshield wipers, and gas mask. And that black cloud really does stink! I mean you no offense, but I have experienced that scenario several times over the years. ------------------ |

Did I read correctly that the CrossFire will have a one piece carbon fiber body? It seems that a minor fender bender could result in a totaled vehicle. ------------------ Prowl a forgotten road! This message has been edited by sunbird on 12-21-2001 at 10:49 PM |

This is true though. A diesel is smokey and does smell but yes mine is a 2001. not a diesel. I know what you mean. ------------------ |

Actually, I have nothing against Mercedes. (Except those steekin diesels!) They have been around many years and have brought many people enjoyment and pride. My big beef (emotionally driven) was the shipping of American ingenuity overseas and the 'dumping' of American workers. That is a big sore spot with me. This global stuff stinks (about like one of those diesels). We share with the world while other countries practice nationalism. For instance, how many Prowlers do you think were sold in Germany? I don't know, but I can guess! Enough politics...let's get back to praising out Kats! ------------------ |

CAT-A-TONIC, though we see two different oceans there is someone on the Atlantic that shares your opinion. Great reply! Jeff |
