Just a reminder....I know many POA members out there also own Vipers.....this last Saturday one of our local VCA members had a slight encounter with a guard rail....the roadway was cold and damp, speed was low, just a little too much throttle to change lanes....luckily Kerry was unhurt, but his ACR is severely damaged.....I have great respect for the power these cars produce...an inexperienced or experienced driver can be in over their heads before they have a chance to correct.....please be careful........

I'd say the guard rail won.

OH THE HUMANITY!!!!! It makes me ill to see such a beautiful car get wrecked like that. I guess it is good that the guy did not get hurt though.

I have to agree Larry - you need a lot of respect for these vehicles - there is so much power that it can be a challenge to keep control of the car.

Same thing happened to a friend of my brother's. He had just waxed his Viper and sprayed the tires with gloss. Unfortunately he also got it on the tread and when he jumped in to go for a ride lost control on the first curve and wrapped it around a tree. Unfortunately the tree got the better part of the deal.

it doesn't take much power at all if the tread or road surface is slippery... dropped one of my HD's sometime ago, on a curve, just because the rear tire was NEW and I didn't even gas it, it just slipped right out from under me! I was a little surprised!

Hate to see much a beautiful machine trashed and more importantly the possibility of someone getting hurt.

Most prowler owners, including me, wish that the Kats had a V8 with more horses, but the extra power may be more than many owners can handle with the car set up as it is.

I test drove a Viper and found out that I couldn't handle it safely.

Cars can be replaced, people can't.

Glad all are o.k.
