We founded the PT club here in Oregon. Ours is a cranberry PT and all those in our club love them. Everyone says to get the automatic. Our friends have a orange prowler and just got their orange PT last weekend. They are so thrilled...look great together in the driveway. Anyone who has drived one like them.

We have a Gold Dream Cruiser. Sue like it but my opinion is a little different. I like the looks of it but what I do not likeHeated seat switch on the leading edge of the front seats, (I hit the damn things all the time and you have to look down to see the light and take your eyes off the road) Power window switch's on the dash in the center,(again you have to take your eyes off whatever to look to see them) No place for her kleenex box 20MPG non turbo AT The car is wide but interior is narrow, was not problem until winter came and having to wear a coat, or put it when you take it off (EB, our dog has the whole back seat) Only one person at a time can connect or disconnect the front seat belts (we now disconnect the other persons) These are all simple things but really irritate the H*ll out of me. I am getting to the point of Hate to drive. I prefer to drive my 3/4 ton 4x4 cummins diesel. And I get as good of mileage from it as the cruiser. Sue did drive a Grand Caravan and when we went somewhere I always drove it. Plenty of room, easy to get in and out of, I guess it is hard to go from that much space to the small cruiser. SPOILED, SO I'LL DRIVE MY TRUCK This message has been edited by WildCat on 03-29-2003 at 08:11 AM

I didn't want the Dream Cruiser (not fond of orange), but I do have the new PT Turbo......I love it......but then this is my third PT ( I also had 2 Limiteds...so obviously I love them. The Turbo is a huge difference from the standards! I LOVE the window switches being on the dash. I think it is less of a distraction trying to find them on the door. I know where they are, so I don't have to look, actually, to use them. Bob and I don't have any problem with disconnecting the seat belts, but sometimes it is easier (even when it's just me) to raise the arm rest to do it. These are all personal issues that one person may have that other would not! I love the versatility of the car and man...........can I pack a lot of stuff in it!!! I’ll agree with Larry, I think the cruiser interior is narrow. (Back to his comment on me making the gym I think!)I also agree with CJ that the turbo is an improvement. I know I test drove a non-turbo and turbo and thought the turbo would make a large difference when fully loaded. I love having another vehicle my family and dog can ride in. Despite the narrow interior, it hasn’t been that big of an issue for us. The biggest problem I have with the DC is the resale value. I don’t think the Cruisers have been holding their value too well. And to buy the most expensive model probably won’t change that much. There might be some price separate now that there are different power trains, but I think the problem before the turbo was options that increased the value of the car by 40% from the base. But then again, I simply got a cloth interior. I wanted to get the least expensive turbo I could get my hands on. Could have gotten a SUV for about the same price and room, but I certainly like the looks of the Cruiser. I also very much like the DC II as orange is my second favorite Prowler color.
