Well, this project kept me from going on the cruise to see the wild flowers so I thought I would share it with you. For those that can't tell, it is a batting cage Looking East: Looking West: We did the whole thing in about 6 hours ------------------ |

I would only suggest that your son get a real good hitting coach. If he needs one? I played ball all my life growing up and then moved to Softball. My teams won every league i played in. I go to little league games and see fathers coaching kids who never played a day in there lifes.I know the volunteer thing but kids are never going to improve without good coaching. Great investment if your son is that dedicated to the sport. You can make a million dollars sitting on the bench today! Good luck ------------------ |

I think your right Todd, the pictures don't do it justice. Mike - We have the Jugs Curveball Machine. I also have them hit off the tee and I have a new thing called a hit-away attached to one of the posts. One of the boys is a pitcher so the pitching screen comes in handy Chuck - I completely agree. Two years ago the boys had a coach that didn't know squat and he didn't believe in pushing the kids... he called it over-coaching, I called it teaching fundamentals. I ended up getting out there to help the kids and he ended up quitting. Luckily they have the same coach this year as last year and he is really good, he used to coach JV ball at the high school too. The boys are going to a week long baseball camp this summer and if they are still interested in high school (3 years away) and make the team, I will then think about a hitting coach. The problem is, the closest good one is in Burbank (about 40 miles away) that I know of This message has been edited by CWatsonJr on 03-28-2003 at 09:12 AM |

Cliff, You just got another project added to my hubby's list. Been trying to talk him into it for a while, maybe now he will do it. Thanks |
