Thanks Gary and Va Cat Dude. I thought I was doing everything just as you both said and low and behold I was. Problem was that I didn't have the right address to the image.

Many thanks.

I spoke too soon. The photo doesn't show up. (see my "Test Photo" in the Test Post Area forum).

I'm doing what everyone said [img] web address [/img] and nothing.

I took the address as it showed after uploading.

Two problems:

(1) The URL address of the image that you specified is not valid. Double check the address.

(2) I don't know if this makes a difference, but there is a "carriage return" just before the

code:
[/url]

in your test post. Hard to explain this, but you can't see it in the edit box, only because the carriage return happens to occur at the end of a line. If you edit your test post, put your cursor on the
code:
[

and press backspace ONCE. You won't see anything being deleted, but the carriage return will be deleted and the cursor will move.

If you can get the URL addess correct, all you have to do is click the button: and the enter the URL. This will insert the code correctly for you.

Don't get discouraged... Once you get it once or twice, then it's a breeze....

here are the instructions,

You may include an image in your message. It will automatically be resized and the file size must be 500k or smaller and MUST be .gif or .jpg. Use the "Browse" button to locate the desired image on your computer, once you have it selected click on the "Upload Now" button and you will be given further instructions (Make sure there are NO spaces in the name, stick to a name with 8 characters followed by .jpg or .gif!!).

The filename is "super"... only 5 characters. "00002103" is a directory name. I have never been limited to 8 characters in the filename for posting images (see above example). I think the only problem is... is that there is no "super.jpg" file in the "00002103" directory.

Don't be confusing these poor Cats, Dude...

One more piece of advice....

To keep things more simple, don't try posting images that you have uploaded to your scrapbook. Instead, click the paperclip button: while posting a message and use that function to upload your image to the general upload area.

I have never even tried to up load a picture, and after reading all of this, I think that I will stick to my guns and not try to do this. It sure made my head spin.

Oh sure Todd, it's easy for you! LOL, LOL, LOL, or should I put LMAO???????? I guess that if I had the time to sit here and try it for a while, I might, maybe, somehow, sort of, kind of, well not figure it out. Jean
