Just in case some of you FUN loving Prowler Owners have a need for speed via CHRYSLER, take a look at what Dodge has in the works...

In case you missed this previously, it (The Tomahawk) is featured in the April 2003 Popular Science.

Have FUN!

Where exactly did they test that top speed at?

If I'm not mistaken (and I may be), the 300 mph top speed is a conservative estimate. (Supposedly) realistic estimate for top speed actually approaches near 400 mph. (Don't quote me on that.)

You are probably correct. I don't think anyone could hang on at 300 mph much less 400 mph. Can you imagine if they hit a tiny pebble or shifted the handlebars 1/32 going that speed? They'd be airborn (or a bug splat).

There is another bike (Jay Leno owns one) that actually has a Bell Jet Ranger turbine engine in it. I think it's called an MMH (or something like that). 0-60 isn't all that impressive till you realize that with each foot it is rolling down the street, it's hp is spooling up exponentially. Caps out at around 800-1000 hp, I think (on two wheels no less).

No rearview mirors only a rearview camera.

Ever stood next to an Bell jet Ranger spooling up for take off? That high pitched whine that gets deafening loud? That is the sound of this bike. You can not talk over it (even to anyone crazy enough to sit behind you).

The exhaust vapor cloud makes the whole bike look blurry.

Cost is around $190K.

Where in God's name would you ride something like this?

Got a chuckle imagining seeing one at the local supermarket parked in a handicapped spot with the blue tag hanging from the gun barrel.

Could also put a bumper sticker on it saying, "My kid blew up your honor roll student....."

LOL I think it's possible some one can hold onto a 400 MPH bike. Why not?A person can hold onto a bike 0-200 mph in the 1/4 mile in about 6 seconds right?Oh BTW speaking about tanks and chrysler,I was reading a enclopeida(I think world book) and decided to look up Chrysler for the fun of it and it shows a picture of the plant in mchigan in which during peral harbor chrysler made tanks and mass produced them.
