My Mom(71) and Dad(72) are traditionalists. Dad worked 2 jobs and Mom did the rest. If my Mom passes before my Dad he won't be able to cook, wash or clean behind himself. But-It has worked for 51 years for them!

I'm different mainly because I went off to college at 18 and didn't get married until I was almost 28. I'm 49 now. I had to be totally independent for those 10 years, so domestic work doesn't phase me. If the carpet is dirty, I vac if Dianne doesn't do it first. I guess you can say we share the household chores. She's GREAT about taking care of the Kids. To and from school, to dance, to karate, to hockey, to parties, to dentist, etc. With this in mind I try and do all I can to assist. I see my main duties as being the provider and the moral compass to my family and Dianne's main duty is the needs of the kids. This has worked for us for over 22 years.

This arrangement is similar, but different to my parents and I think is just a generational adjustment

I'm not even going there! It would divulge family secrets.

Living with three woman (well, wife and two daughters in training) I get asked or told to do alot more then I signed on for. LOL!

It's funny, when I was only 14, my parents divorced and never saw my dad again. I was living with my mom, my sister, and most of the time my grandmother. Three woman. It was nuts for a young guy and I prayed to God to get me out of this houes someday.

Well, he did. I am now married with 2 daughters and right back with three woman AGAIN. LOL!!!

I guess I should have been more specific.......
