I've been into RC for years, I had a hobby shop for 9 years specializing in RC boats. My personal experience with nitro cars is that it will help if you have some experience in this area. You need finesse when adjusting the carb. What ever fuel you start with, stay with the same brand and nitro content. Same with the glow plugs-use the same brand till you learn the characteristics of each heat range (cold-hot) Glo is messier then gas (gasoline) but faster. I've been into planes, cars, boats since I was a kid.I still race the boats and was district champ in one of the 2 classes I ran last year. 2nd in the other. JMO, but I would look at the gasoline powered cars also. More $ to get started in but larger and easier to run. Some of the new model Gas motors can put out a reliable 5.5 HP out of 25cc with a tuned pipe. The more you spend the better the car usually. The .21cc nitro cars will run 70MPH or better. The 23cc gas jobs will go upper 50's last time I heard about them . Both are faster then the speed of thought, so be careful around the curbs. |

I have several cars and Heli's and they are a blast. If you do not like spending tunning try a electric vehicle. The e-max and t-max are good first vehicles. |

Yep loved it, but the tires were a pain in the butt, mounting trimming trueing shaping, different compounds, other than that, what a blast, Does it have a 2 speed tranny, very cool to hear them shift, also make sure there is some smoke coming out of the exhaust, if not you will pop motors left and right, I had 6 spares and popped all of them....
