Anyone have any experiance with baja boats?? There is a 2001 Baja 25 Outlaw SST---502 MAG MPI with 75 hrs for $55995.00 On Boattrader.com. Spring TX I like the looks of the Baja's over other boats. It seems like a fair price considering the options etc. Any info or opinions let me know!!!Want something for the lake this Summer..

I had a 97 24'Outlaw and really enjoyed it.The SST is the top of the line of the Outlaw. With a 502, it should run 70mph+. I found the best all around prop is the 24 pitch, 4 blade SS. This time of the year, you ought to be able to get it for less $$$.

Hope this helps

Living on the water, I know several people with these ranging from 25 to 36'. Haven't heard of any complaints. I have looked and driven their sport fishing boats and they seem nice enough and well built.

I believe with the stepped hull and that engine you are good for about 70mph.

If the boat is located in Spring, they probably used it mainly on Lake Conroe which is fresh water.

I'd rank them up there with Donzi as far as cigarette style boats go.

I am good friends with the local dealer that sells Sea-Rays, Hatteras, and Baja, if you want me to check on this boat or find out what it is worth, let me know.

"Unless they have really made MAJOR improvements I would not compare Baja to a Donzi."

Having a BAJA for, dang, 18 years now, I cannot comment on the newer ones but they were built for speed back then, when 60 mph on the water was a big number I traded a 18' 455 olds powered jet boat that would do the magic "60" for the 20' cuddy 260HP with merc alpha drive. They garrantied 55 mph and pull 2 guys my size up on 1 ski, it took several trips back to shop. After adding trim tabs, stainless prop to do it but it was able to do 56 mph and pull 2 guys on 1 and 3 guys on 2 ski's. Now in my opinion that was fast for the size boat at the time. I had several comments on the boat when I would run flat out trimmed to the MAX. They are still concidered a performance boat, the ride might be sacrificed some to achive the speed. A buddy of mine has a 235 Force Baja with 454 and alpha drive. It is faster than mine and rides much better.

no matter what a boat is " A HOLE IN THE WATER YOU THROW MONEY IN"...but I still like them

As a friend of mine says, "That is a fact jack" but, it's one of those "you either get it or you don't" kinda things. We love the water and basically any kind of boat. Have had numerous sailboats over the years but, love the thrill of a cigarette boat.

If money were no object though, I buy an 80' Donzi Sportfisher yacht or a 100' Broward.(need to sell the prowler for $6 million first)
