The local car club I belong to had their final show of the year. It was to benefit the Lukemia foundation. Bill went to the trouble to bring his Infiniti down last night so he could drive the Prowler today to the show then be able to go to his childrens soccer game.

after washing & waxing the cat last night and driving to the show, it rained, not alot just enough to mess the car up. With it still raining Bill had to leave. His return was close to the time for awards.

Bill was one of the top 30 cars at the show. CONGRADULATIONS BILL

Thanks Larry and Gary.

Yep, the show was a success in spite of the weather. But you need to know the whole story.

I decided to enter in the show some time ago. Since it was put on by Larry’s club, I thought it was the least I could do to show appreciation for all he and Sue had done to make me feel welcome in the POA. Unfortunately, soccer schedules got changed and there was no way for me to make the registration time and get my kids to their games. Larry offered to let me take Sue’s (!) car for the day to make the trip possible. Again, I was trying to show my appreciation for all that they’ve done and he was giving me his car. So I asked instead if I could drop a set of wheels off the night before and he could bring it to the show. He lives 4 miles from it I’m more like 25. He and Sue took care of that for me and my car was waiting for me as I pulled up in my freshly detailed car in the drizzling rain. So, I don’t care what anybody says about them , they’ve been supportive and helpful to me all summer long. The cat ownership experience has been a good one, but with their contribution (along with other POA members) it’s been great.

As for the show, I didn’t make it back until 1:00. I figured that was OK as the flyer said awards were at 4:00. Turns out they were at 2:00! And with the constant rain up until about 12:30, Larry ended up keeping my car clean for the morning. So maybe he should get the hardware as he was not allowed to enter himself. The show was closed to all club members. On top of that it was a participant voted show. Not knowing anybody and a pretty much stock cat, didn’t help either. I was just lucky to get in under the wire. I know the kids liked brining the trophy home!
