and how did you like it?
Our first event was The Grand Canyon event. (We drove the Goldwing to it since I did not want to put that many miles on the Prowler). At that point I had never met another Prowler owner so everyone we met was a new acquaintance. I think there were about 25 Prowlers there. It was very memorable just meeting all the other owners and seeing modifications to the cats. I had not changed my Prowler at all, at that point, I don't think. We enjoyed ourselves beyond our wildest expectations and now we try to make it to every event that we can get to.

a breakfast and run to some So Cal speed shop around 2 years ago. Which shop? You expect me to remember that? Never been on a run yet where I did not have a blast though.

My first event was Crazy Horse. At that time I didn't intend to drive the Prowler much. It was three years old and had 3000 miles on it. Having just returned from Skyline Drive, it has 11,200 miles on it. I make every event that we can now.

A short leg of the HOT ROD POWER TOUR in June of 2000. Maybe not a Prowler event, but Larry Lord brought many Prowler owners over from Calif. and a group of Az owners joined in with them. In June of 2000, who ever seen 15 cats together??? It was a awesome ride together, and got me hooked. John Ross' cat blew me away and thus the mods had to start to make the Alley Cat a unique individual.

Crazy Horse was my first also was worth every moment of discomfort, rain, tires flying through the air and hitting my Kat, having all my travelers checks flying out of my glove box at 80 when I opened it without thinking, the shock of seeing AC soliciting I'm not sure what it was in an alley , Ed wearing a costume that he could have worn in a gay pride pirade, and some of the BEST PEOPLE a person could meet.

Toys for Tots Kick Off Oct or Nov 2001.

First Kat was totally stock then. Now there are 2 with assorted mods.

Needless to say had a blast and caught a very expensive car bug.

...Having 8 Prowlers meet me at Bert's Drive-in after having our Prowler for only 4 days.

I tend to like the smaller gatherings and more informal meets. The big meets usually involve too much driving, and too much planning and getting up too early....I'm more spontaneous with this sort of stuff.

hmmmmm....my first event was a Good Guys show but I was the only prowler there. I don't think that's what you mean. So...my first "event" would have to be with Larry Lord and Al Becker on the '99 Hot Rod Power Tour. 2 yellow prowlers and my purple......we thought we were really something!
And we were!!!!!! Ha! Driving down the hwy, 3 across the lanes while the power tour video cameras were rolling from the van in front of us.....I had never done anything like that in my life! What a blast! Haven't quit grinin' yet.

PK and A/C, you are out of the will and out of the closet, too. lol.
I wonder who has been at the most "Big Events". I know Phil Genet has made a lot of them. CJ, Larry Lord, Laddie, Rich Ware, us, Alley Cat, PaulR and DavidN have been at a quite a few.

If you count two Prowlers an event, three months after buying my car in October of '99 Chromer, Jack and I met for the first time at Starbucks and took a Winter drive (65 degree day)from Morrison to Evergreen, then over to hiway 285 past the Coney Island hotdog stand, over Kenosha pass to Jefferson in South Park and back. I learned a few things about the car that day. Like watch out for gravel on twisty mountain roads and what it sounds like when the car in front of you keeps hitting the rev limiter.

What´s a Prowler event?

There are only 4 Prowlers in the whole of Sweden, as far as I know!
Makes it more special, doesn´t it?

First was the August 2000 meeting of the N. Texas group. I beleive we had 9 of us there at a Pizzeria in Ft. Worth. The first Nat'l event was Grand Canyon/RT66. A great Kat A Van from Texas to Arizona/Nevada with 5-6 Kats, even hooked up with the now INFAMOUS Mike Gatlin driving solo the entire 4,500 mile round trip. Gatlin, you're still my hero! Meeting so many wonderful people with the same interest and Larry Lords planning was great. The drive through Oatman, Az with Pauley was a blast, driving 110 + MPH on RT66 two lane was pretty intense as well. Watching Dean P. do burnouts in front of the Chief of Police of Kingman was Historic. We would & have done it again & again just different locals. Hey Gary C, got any Carrots for the donkeys????

The first event was the Chrysler sponsored, "San Diego Historical Races on Coranado Island" in the fall of '99. It was with the old PPC and there were, if I am not mistaken around 35 Prowler's. It was the first time I met Larry Lord and the rest of the So. Cal group and a few from AZ. The same group of Prowlers were also included in the Fiesta Bowl Parade and the opening ceremonies of the Fiesta Bowl that same year.

Matter of fact, that same event is going on this weekend!

Our first was this past weekend at the Skyline drive trip, had a blast, can't what for another one. Being October the days are counting down before she goes away for the winter. Next spring will be a new beginning for all the events, hope to meet many more people from this site next year.

First event was Louisville, Ky, 18-May-2002 hosted by Marty and Rebecca Usher... I felt like a kid on Christmas day... almost too much excitement for me.

Date sound familiar, Mike K.????... This is the same day that Mike Krehel won the High Voltage Blue Prowler in auction....
