I know I'm watching it very closely. Supposed to be upgraded to a category 3 hurricane prior to landfall. Too many factors, high pressure-low pressure troughs to know which way she'll want to go once she makes it into the warm waters of the Gulf. I'm praying, I'm only 5 miles from the beach. I'm praying for all others that may be in her path too.

I don't need the wind, but lord do we need the rain. The small lake behind the house (in Texas we call it a tank) is about 7 feet below bankline. A good dousing would be nice. Otherwise the bass are going to have to grow legs.

Sounds like if it turns to the northeast, Laddie's area will get hit hardest,,,,,,,,meaning just heavy rain for Texas.

OMG>>> Kendra - I will call the Prowler Gods via Ed's 30 cents per minute prepaid phone card, and see if we can get this storm to dissipate after reaching the Mexico coast. I'll promise them that I will cut my hair if they let the storm come to a close elsewhere! Wish me luck!!!

Al - sorry to here about the water around your house. On the bright side,,,,there were no 200 mph winds, and Darlene and you are OK.. What about the cat? You did have life jackets attached to it, right?

Sorry to hear about the water. Glad that you are both ok. Darn weathers crazy.
