They are in production as we speak but the way things get copied we are not releasing things until we've got enough for every body im sure ya'll can understand this! The kit does both doors and is easy to install if you can remove a door panel you can install this your self the kit costs $1999,00 so if anybody is interested place an order now and get on that list and as soon as we're ready to release we'll inform everybody where and when to send their money they install without any modifications to your vehicle! This is all the info I can release for now but rest assured all your questions will be answered when we release these

Like Art I'd like to know how much more will the door open, the way I see it you can make the door check link about an inch longer. Two tight spots I see are the upper door hinge area and the door to hood point, how much clearance do you have with your mod and how careful do you need to be when opening the door?

Actually, I have become accustomed to the doors opening only a short way. I would be afraid if I changed it I would open the door and swing it out so far it would bang into something sitting in the garage and put a ding in the flames on my door. Besides, I know I can't gain anymore weight and still get in the car so it really is a health benefit, too.

Thats funny. You might have something there... a new reason to control our weight. I know I've lost a few pounds since I got my Kat... I didnt think it was to fit in it better... But it might have been in my subconscious! LOL

First is stock driver door with an opening of 25.5" and as you can see from the picture of the pass door, its opened to 38". Looks like it opens as far as any other car door.

Crackerswamp, from your pictures it looks like the passenger door is open much more than the driver. Have both doors been modified? Is there a problem getting the driver door to open as far as the passenger? If you can do the same to the driver side door, I would like the mod. I could drive down on any weekend. You are about 4 hr. from me and I love to drive my prowler on the weekends. Thank you,
Jeff

Sorry folks, I just got an email from Jeff. It pointed out that I had a typo on the price. I've made the correction{$1999.00] on the previous post. I apologize for the confusion. I feel that any owner would be extremely satisfied with this upgrade. just ask the fatman. I've reevaluated the installation and have decided the only way to insure high quality craftsmanship is to do the modification myself. This is due to the fact that each prowler is hand built. I feel that the expense of shipping your prowler to me could be as much or more as the modification. Therefore, I propose that if enough owners have interest and would like this upgrade, email me and I will try to schedule a cross country tour stopping in specific cities to do scheduled appointments

Just in case it's not a spoof, what parts do you have to replace? Are the parts steel or aluminum?

Snake, I want to thank you for the call back. I can't wait to see your other mods for the prowler. I'll be there on the 20th and if you can do my doors like the fatmans, I'm sure I will be pleased. If there still might be a scheduling problem please e-mail me and we can reschedule. Thanks again,
Jeff
