BRITE SUNNY 2nd day of SPRING and in the low 70's here in HOUSTON. I need off to go play in the Kat!!!! I have used the "not feeling to well,the cable man is scheduled,my toilet is leaking,i have a doctors appointment" excuses way too many times. I need help in comming up with a new one that can be used many times. Any suggestions?    |

Have you tried "have to go to a gynecologist appointment"?  It may not work and they may look at you funny, but you may get points for creativity. Seriously, when I need to take off early, I usually blame it on something needs to be done on the house, or I have to go to my side of town to handle something and it would not make sense to drive all the way there and then come all the way back here. Ask your boss to take a ride with you, anywhere, after that he or she will understand whenever you say, I have to take off today. See you in the morning. If this doesn't work try telling them you have used up all your sick days and vacation days so you are taking off DEAD. You will need one day for the wake and a second for the funeral. Friday will be mourning, saturday and sunday are off days so you will see them MONDAY. That should do it!!   ------------------ |
